Warehouse Picking Team Leader

You'll plan and implement agreed strategies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse while assisting the transport supervisor to manage the company’s team of warehouse staff.
What key skills and experience are we looking for?
Maintain pick rate and ensure that all stores are picked in line with the transport schedule.
Identify, investigate and manage low pick rates.
Ensure pick accuracy is maintained by completing daily security checks.
Ensure out of stock report is continuously monitored and that a minimum service level of 98% is achieved.
Ensure wholesale orders are completed on time and accurately.
Complete daily walk around checks of bay locations to maintain the warehouse standards.
Identify health and safety risks on daily walk around checks.
Manage teams of workers ensuring the appropriate and timely recruitment, training and motivation; and disciplining of staff.
Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times
Work collaboratively with your Supervisor Colleagues to demonstrate team approach
Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met.
Take responsibility for the security of the premises ensuring the correct systems and processes are in place to prevent theft from and damage to the warehouse premises.
Monitor targets for stock-loss and damage.
A good understanding of WMS systems preferably AX dynamics
Managing a team of 10 – 15 people in a fast paced environment
Good understanding of picking and packing processes.
Good understanding of Health & Safety compliances
