​On November 19, International Men’s Day celebrates worldwide the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities. We highlight positive role models and raise awareness of men’s well-being. 

The three core themes for International Men’s Day in the UK which are used every year to help  maximise participation are:

• Making a positive difference to the wellbeing and lives of men and boys

• Raising awareness and/or funds for charities supporting men and boys’ wellbeing

• Promoting a positive conversation about men, manhood and masculinity

International Men's Day falls within out Physical Wellbeing Month at Leyland SDM, and every colleague in the business will be receiving an IcleTest, which should be arriving in stores, the warehouse and support centre today. 

What is an IcleTest? 

An IcleTest is an at home urine test for invisible blood which can be an early warning sign of prostate, kidney or bladder cancer in men. An IcleTest can detect blood in urine, quickly and conveniently, helping you discover potential issues early so you can proactively manage this aspect of your health. The test comes with instructions and further information on how to use. It’s painless and could be an early warning system to blood in a man’s urine.

You don’t need visible or painful symptoms to be at risk. This easy-to-do, clean and quick test could discover issues early.

The test is optional to use, but we would like to encourage you to either take the test yourself or give the test to a man in your life. Please remember if a positive result is received, the first call should be to a GP for a follow up appointment.
